Sound libraries

I’m trying to build Seq66 on OSX right now. I figured it would be straightforward since everything is mostly POSIX.

Turns out that libasound isn’t really ported to mac. This led me to look into what other libraries are out there right now.

I have never heard of libsound. These all have such generic names that it’s hard to recall if you’ve ever run across it before. It’s kind of a weird deja-vu when I dive back into this stuff.

It looks like it might not support AISIO, which would be a bummer.

I’m also messing with lots of older audio interfaces that use things like Firewire. Lots of good hardware out there for cheap just because of the mass deprecation of FW.
